LOS ANGELES — Phil Everly, who with his brother Don fashioned an influential harmony duo that touched the hearts and sparked the imaginations of rock ‘n’ roll singers for many years, including the Beatles and Bob Dylan, died Friday. He was seventy four.

Everly died of persistent obstructive pulmonary ailment at a Burbank clinic, mentioned his son Jason Everly.
