“Argo” continued its awards-season winning streak at the British Academy Film Awards in London on Sunday, winning two major prizes: best film and best director (for Ben Affleck). The awards were the latest in a run for “Argo” that includes top honors at the Golden Globes, Directors Guild and Producers Guild Awards. Daniel Day-Lewis won best actor for “Lincoln” and Emmanuelle Riva took best actress for “Amour.” The Baftas have been accurate predictors of the Oscars in recent years, naming eventual best picture winners like “Slumdog Millionaire,” “The King’s Speech” and “The Artist.”
